I became passionate about books and words as a child when I started reading Salgari and dreamed of becoming a pirate myself. Ultimately, I chose to devote myself only to words (instead of marauding ships), but I have always kept my fascination for exotic places and distant cultures.
I see writing and translation as processes to understand the other — because getting to know those who are different from us helps us get a better understanding of ourselves.
I lived in China first as a student, then as a teacher of Italian language and culture. Even before graduating in Interpreting and Translation, I published my first story translated from Chinese. In Italy, I continued to pursue my vocation for translation (I am a member of the Italian Association of Translators and Interpreters no. 22081), and I have also had the chance to challenge myself and train in marketing, SEO, and copywriting, working for several companies.
